Jessica Simpson and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan have split. Sources say Corgan disliked the media attention he received from being with Simpson, so he ended the relationship.

“Dating Jessica publicly can be intense. Billy maintains a quiet, private music-focused life and the taste of publicity he got while being with Jessica was an eye opener,” says an insider.

Jessica Simpson was upset by the split but has been busy filming her reality show, “The Price of Beauty,” and finding her inner beauty!

Filming the show “changed me completely,” Simpson claimed. “I haven’t always had an inner confidence and I haven’t always looked at my reflection and loved it. There’s always something I’ve wanted to fix because there’s always somebody that looks better. And that’s what we always try to compare ourselves to. I think the journey really was finding what is beautiful inside of me and knowing that I own it and it’s unique. Rare. It was a very powerful journey.”

“I definitely carry myself different after experiencing this because there is something about myself that is so unique that I found that I’m proud of.

Corgan still plans to work with Simpson.

“Billy likes Jessica, but he will work to keep their relationship as it is and focus on the music. They are not getting serious, but Jessica has had so much fun with him,” adds the source.

Rumors around the internet were saying Simpson, 29, was ready to tie the knot with Corgan, 42.
