Jon Gosselin’s NYC apartment was burglarized and vandalized while he spent Christmas in Pennsylvania with his ex-wife Kate Gosselin and their 8 children. Gosselin’s lawyer, Mark Heller, says many of the 32-year-old’s clothes, bedding, and luggage was slashed with a knife while other electronics and kitchen utensils were stolen.

“[He] called me this afternoon . . . when he entered his apartment in Manhattan and was horrified, disheartened and saddened to observe the devastation of his furniture, clothing and personal belongings, which were apparently slashed with a butcher knife by a very troubled and sick perpetrator. Jon immediately contacted me and facilitated the able assistance of the New York City Police Department who immediately dispatched an experienced detective to Jon’s apartment,” Heller said in a statement Saturday. “The greatest damage from this vicious, mean spirited and heartless crime was perpetrated not on Jon’s property and possessions, but on Jon Gosselin himself, who experienced a traumatic, emotional, roller coast ride having just shared a joyful family gathering with his children during their Christmas.”

A note from the perpetrator was discovered “speared” to Jon’s bedroom dresser with a butcher knife. Law enforcement sources say Hailey Glassman’s name was signed at the bottom of the note, but that doesn’t mean she had anything to do with it.
