Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo’s recent split was caused by their different views on marriage. A source close to the couple says Minnillo really wanted a ring and was ready to get married. Lachey who was previously married and then divorced from Jessica Simpson wasn’t ready for that type of committment again. Vanessa finally decided that she wasn’t going to get what she wanted and ended the realtionship.

“Vanessa wanted to get married, and Nick just wasn’t there yet. It all comes down to them wanting different things. Nick loved her, but he didn’t want to get married any time soon,” says the insider.

Sounds like Nick Lachey just wasn’t that into Vanessa. She probably made a good decision ending the relationship. Minnillo, 28, and Lachey, 35, began dating in 2006. They split in June but still remain good friends.
