Holly Madison is the latest Dancing with the Stars contestant to be injured this season. A rep for Madison tells People magazine the model was suffering excruciating pain her side and it was preventing her from rehearsing. “She hurt herself last week when she was rehearsing the Samba. (Thursday) she was practicing the tango and the pain was so bad that it made it basically impossible for her to move,” Steven Flynn tells People.
Madison was taken to the doctor, who determined that she did not have any broken ribs. She was prescribed pain medication and is determined to stay in the competition.
“She was in a lot of pain last week. But you know, Holly’s a gamer. She wants to do this so bad and she wants to do well. She really didn’t tell a lot of people how badly she was injured because she doesn’t want to give herself any excuses,” Flynn added.
Also injured this season was Nancy O’Dell, who, like Jewel, was forced to drop out before the show started. She was replaced by Bachelor star Melissa Rycroft, who is a front runner in the competition. Steve Wozniak suffered an ankle injury while Jackass star Steve-O was sidelined one week for a back injury.
