Actor Ron Silver died Sunday morning after a two-year battle with esophageal cancer. Silver passed away in his sleep surrounded by family in his New York City home. He was 62.
“Ron Silver died peacefully in his sleep with his family around him early Sunday morning,” confirms his colleague Robin Bronk, executive director of the creative coalition.
Silver was successful on stage, television and the silver screen. He is probably best known for his recurring role on ‘The West Wing.’ He also starred opposite Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons in ‘Reversal of Fortune.’ Silver is also known for his roles in Ali and Enemies: A Love Story.
