Gossip Girls actress Taylor Momsen has been hospitalized with a life threatening throat infection. According to the 15-year-old’s doctor, Shawn Nasseri, she has been in the hospital since Sunday.

“She has been hospitalized for a severe, potentially life-threatening throat infection since Sunday,” Nasseri says. “After aggressive antibiotics and medications, she is expected to make a full recovery in the next three to five days.”

Momsen’s current condition was not disclosed. It is unclear when she will return to Gossip Girls’ New York City set.
