Reality star Lauren Conrad has signed a three-book deal with HarperCollins. The Hills’ star will be writing young-adult fiction, based loosely on her path from regular O.C. girl to major celebrity.

“It’s definitely influenced by my own life,” L.C. told People.com. “The books are about a girl who moves to L.A. and stars in a reality show, so obviously there are some similarities.”

But Lauren swears she’s not going to be spilling secrets about Audrina Patridge and other friends.

“I’m not trying to do a fictional story based on all my friends in my real life because their stories aren’t really mine to tell. Some of the characters may symbolize people in my life [hello, Heidi and Spencer], but it is in no way calling anyone out.”

The first installment of Lauren’s fictitious life will hit bookstores around summer 2009.
