Britney Spears won big at Sunday’s 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, taking home three awards, including Video of the Year for her hit “Piece of Me.” . She kicked off the show with Superbad’s Jonah Hill in a pre-taped skit, where he tried to teach her some relaxation techniques. He ordered her to close her eyes. When she did, he leaned in and tried to kiss her.
“What is your deal?” she shrieked.
“I care about the VMAs being good,” he replied in the humorous skit.
After the segment, Spears, in a sparkly halter dress, walked on stage as her hit “Baby One More Time” blared. The audience stood and applauded. “Thank you so much,” she told the crowd. “Thank you for all the love. This is the 2008 Video Music Awards, and it starts right now.”

She looked amazing last night. She really redeemed herself. She showed everyone that she has gotten healthy and is making great strides. That’s wonderful.
One thing I’m not sure of is all the awards that she has won. “piece of me” isn’t the greatest video out there, and not even HER best video she made. In her prime she didn’t win any of the VMAs and now she has x3. She didn’t even look surprized they called her name. For someone who is past her prime and has been up for these same awards and never won one and suddenly she get’s three, from an album that had poor sales. There will be controversy on this. People say this has been rigged.
